The Challenge with Glass Surfaces

Glass is THE building material of our times. Modern skyscrapers, winter gardens, schools and single-family homes – large glass surfaces create quality of life by allowing natural lighting inside the building. What seems modern and friendly to us humans quickly becomes a death trap for our feathered friends. Birds either don’t recognize glass surfaces at all because they look through them, or due to the reflected landscape on the glass, they don’t perceive the pane as a solid barrier.

The Solution - Bird Friendly Film

Bird friendly films are installed on glass surfaces and are real life savers. The repeating patterns make the glass surface visible to the bird and it is perceived as a barrier. The film can be installed retrofit, thus saving the expensive replacement of special glazing. Additionally, design elements such as a company logo can be incorporated. The various patterns have been tested for their effectiveness.
