The company König und Bauer – known for its high-quality printing machines – was faced with a problem that occurs in many office and industrial buildings: strong heating of the interior due to solar radiation. Especially in the summer months, this became a real challenge for the working environment. In addition to the heat, the direct sunlight caused unpleasant glare, especially in areas where computer screens were used. The solution? The installation of AX Plus 30 solar control film by the BRUXSAFOL team.
Efficient and retrofittable
film is particularly suitable for retrofitting to existing buildings, as it can be applied quickly and effectively to existing glass surfaces. In this case, it was installed on an area of 850 m².
Like most solar control films in the BRUXSAFOL range, AX Plus 30 was installed from the outside, as this prevents heat radiation from penetrating the glass and is therefore more effective and creates less thermal stress than internal installation.
The project presented the fitters with logistical challenges, as a large part of the installation had to be carried out at lofty heights. However, thanks to the experience of the employees, who are not afraid of heights, the installation was carried out smoothly and safely.
